It has been an interesting couple of days going over all this information. Although I'm not quite done yet. So many details. They were very thorough in writing this. I'm slightly disappointed as there hasn't been a curse yet. Some say that this isn't normal at all. So there has to be some pattern, yes?

Since it appears I'm going to be here a while, I was wondering if anyone was offering up some type of employment? I'm a scientist with a specialization in Ancient technology. Hyperdrives mostly. But I'd be willing to try something new.

Those Carthaginians and their hyperdrives.

You might have to look into exploring a different field.

Not a big fan?

Oh I'm not opposed to doing something entirely different.

Didn't know them personally.

Something in particular? Ancient technology doesn't immediately springboard me into practical applications.

You are missing out.

No, I'd imagine it wouldn't be. Well I suppose...anything relating to paperwork. Whether it's secretarial or maybe bookkeeping.

You've been a scientist, but you'll stand for being a secretary?

There might be some paper you could push at the hospital.

Well if there's no need for scientists really in this place. I'm willing to try another route.

Is that so? I would really appreciate it.

Not seeing a lot of demand for hyperdrives. Any really advanced tech, really. There is a scientific research place here, though. The other me works there.
13th-Jan-2012 12:27 am (UTC)
Is there really? And what's it called? The other you? What do you have a twin?
13th-Jan-2012 04:59 pm (UTC)
City Solutions. Run by that gentlemen with the red combat suit.

Not a twin exactly. My future self.
13th-Jan-2012 11:58 pm (UTC)
Don't think I've met them yet.

Yourself from the future? Now that is certainly something. And no paradox.
14th-Jan-2012 06:18 am (UTC)
Worth looking into.

Should be a paradox. There's always trouble when I run into myself. But nothing world-shaking so far. Very odd. [ They're getting along like scalded cats, but that's not exactly the same thing as space and time ruptures. ]
15th-Jan-2012 02:43 am (UTC)
I just might. Thank you for the advice.

You've run into yourself before this? Now that's pretty amazing, I have to say. [It manages to fascinate Amanda really as she's never really time traveled before or even met a double of herself.]

So do you ever give yourself hints of the future? Or try to change the past?
15th-Jan-2012 07:17 pm (UTC)
Oh, definitely not. Not allowed. Laws of time and all that. Some things just can't be changed.
16th-Jan-2012 02:02 am (UTC)
Oh I see. But what happens if something does change?
16th-Jan-2012 07:35 pm (UTC)
Catastrophic. That sort of thing used to be pretty highly regulated by my people.
